This comprehensive Alcohol and Drug Counseling Certificate Program provides students with the education and training to qualify for employment as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor. It is a new and fulfilling career for those seeking a rewarding profession in addiction counseling. Alcohol and Drug Counselors work in a variety of settings, such as government agencies, hospitals, schools, community based agencies, churches, prisons, residential and outpatient alcohol and drug treatment facilities, and drug courts.
Students will be able to complete the program within 14 months or less for a very affordable cost. Classes are held on alternate weekends to accommodate working individuals. Alternate weekday classes are available too. A valuable component of the program includes a required internship that offers students the hands-on experience of working at a drug and alcohol treatment facility. Upon successful completion of the program and CCAPP requirements, students will be able to take the CCAPP Exam to become a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
